The specific blue of the sky.
Pacific sunsets.
Impossible flora.
Unexpected fauna, including a fig beetle.
Berry the Hatchet beer at Coronado Brewing, natal plums eaten from the side of the road and the Mangia Mangia truck.
Sand and salt and tide pools.
The feeling of excitement and happiness that permeated the city.
