Signs of spring, sort of

Last year's garlic sprouting in the garage - clearly I did not consume enough garlic this winter. Happily, the ones I planted in October are doing the same thing in the garden.

• The return of the neighborhood flycatchers who have nested in the neighborhood ever since there's been a neighborhood to nest in.
• Wild weather fluctuations.
• Seedling mix and seed packets all over the kitchen floor.
• WIND!
• The strong urge not to be at work for days at a time. Actually, that's pretty constant.
